Travel through the History of Lima

  • Book Now

It is a great way to learn and visit sites where important history events took place. Visit the pre-Hispanic archaeological site of Pachacamac, located 19 miles south of Lima. Pachacamac was an important place where several important cultures such as Waris and Incas inhabited.

Tour will continue onto Pedro de Osma Museum, located in the bohemian district of Barranco. Here you will appreciate a personal collection consisting of Peruvian Colonial art from the XVI, XVII, XVII and XIX centuries. For lunch, you are on your own. We will take you to any of our suggested restaurants located in Miraflores, or you may opt to have lunch at Casa Garcia Alvarado, a house from early 20th century and private home where you will be hosted by Mrs. Ana Maria Astudillo, the owner of this national heritage.

In the afternoon, you will visit Parque Reducto, witness of the War of the Pacific, where Lima was defended with courage against the Chileans. The last stop is the recently refurbished Parque de la Reserva (2007), also another witness of the War of the Pacific, now converted into a great tourist attraction having a water circuit controlled by computers, including a 262 ft jet stream into the sky.

Parque Reducto is currently the world's largest fountain complex in the world, consisting of 13 distinct fountains, many of which are interactive.
