Lima Destination Guide
History is but a drive away from mystic, pre-Incan ruins on Lima's outskirts to the fading elegance of Spanish colonial mansions. Lima's famous museums and festivals showcase Peru's treasure trove of history and culture. Wander the streets and the open markets or hang out with limeños, listening to Creole and folk music at local penas or bars. People watching is a fascinating experience in Lima, with its Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, African and indigenous communities.
There are many destinations which aggressively promote themselves as ‘different'. Lima, the capital city of Peru, wears that label effortlessly.
Use this Lima Destination Guide to plan what you want to see and do whilst visiting Lima. A great way of exploring the highlights is taking one of the Lima tours that can be booked through our site. Also check out our Peru Country Guide for more general information about travelling throughout Peru.
